We act for clients from a diverse range of industries, including broadcasting, film production, music, computer software and multimedia, on-line content providers, telecommunications, software, digital and paper publishing houses, newspapers, developers of apps, authors and ISP's.


    The firm has a proven record acting on a wide variety of copyright matters, representing rights holders on copyright infringement claims as well as defending clients against allegations of infringement. We also have extensive experience taking action against counterfeiters of copyright-protected rights.


    In addition to the contentious side of our practice, members of the team include transactional lawyers who are experts on structuring, drafting and negotiating the licensing, assignment and commercial exploitation of copyright, advising on digital rights management and due diligence and providing support on corporate transactions.

    • Representing Endemol International B.V – the world's largest independent television production company - in successful proceedings commenced against the Israeli broadcaster Channel 10 for infringement of Endemol's copyright in the format of the program "Big Brother" (the first claim of its kind in Israel)
    • Representing Yediot Aharonot in its successful defence of a claim relating to whether the client's compilation, and subsequent publication on a web portal, of information used in the classified sale pages of print media, was protected by copyright (the first claim of its kind in Israel)
    • Representing Cellcom, along with Logia Group Ltd., a developer of mobile phone applications and content, against a claim filed by E GO Strategic Marketing Ltd., claiming the alleged infringement of its copyrights in the format of an online marketing event
    • Representing Reshet-Noga (one of Israel's two franchisees of Channel 2 – Israel's main commercial "free to air" TV channels) on numerous copyright related matters including:


    (i) negotiating the format rights for "the Amazing Race", "the Voice" and "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show";

    (ii) drafting, negotiating and advising on movie production agreements, content distribution agreements (for both traditional and new media), agreements with copyright administrators and co-operation agreements with international entertainment agencies (such as CAA format rights dispute with Channel 10 (a cable broadcaster)); and

    (iii) acting for Reshet-Noga on a co-development agreement and production partnership with British television broadcaster ITV plc to set up a new venture to jointly source, develop and produce TV show formats in Israel for the Reshet network, the ITV network in the UK and the international market


    • Representing the Pharmaceutical Division of the Manufacturers’ Association of Israel on the copyright aspects concerning the registration of pharmaceutical products with the Israeli Ministry of Health and issues relating to the packaging and labeling of such products
    • Representing IEEE (the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.), the world’s largest international professional association of engineers, scientists and other related professionals, in a copyright infringement claim.  The claim was based on cross-border copyright infringement, plagiarism and other IP related causes of action
    • Representing the owners of the rights to the internationally-known "RUMMIKUB" game in a claim against a former licensee for copyright infringement, passing off and unjust enrichment
    • Representing and advising Lego in litigation related to protection of its intellectual property rights and copyrights
