• Moran Katz’s varied practice encompasses Intellectual Property, regulation of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other products, product liability and gaming law. She advises on a wide spectrum of intellectual property matters, both contentious and non-contentious, including the creation, commercial exploitation, protection and enforcement of trademarks, copyright, patents, designs and trade secrets. 


    On the regulatory side of her practice, Moran advises and represents companies in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors on matters ranging from the mandatory requirements applicable to clinical trials to the registration, licensing and marketing of their products with the Israel Ministry of Health. 


    Moran is also an expert on product liability law, acting on behalf of manufacturers and distributors throughout the stringent regulatory product recall processes before local authorities and defending, in court, product liability claims (including class actions). She advises and represents leading international manufacturers across a considerable range of industries, including pharmaceutical, aviation and transportation, industrial products, consumer products and other high and low tech applications.     Moran also has significant expertise in representing domestic and international entities in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, including in contractual disputes with respect to ownership over intellectual property and licensing of IP rights, and enforcement and termination of distribution, agency and representation agreements.

    • Israel’s leading cellular telephone companies – Pelephone, Cellcom and Partner – in patent infringement litigation
    • Supervising the management of Phillip Morris International’s trademark portfolio and representing them in several trademark proceedings before the Israeli Trademark Office and the District Courts
    • Allergan Inc. in numerous trademark infringement matters concerning the BOTOX® trademark and in domain name disputes
    • Yeda Research and Development Company Ltd., the technology transfer arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science, in complex litigation regarding high-value infringements of licensing agreements for the use of technologies
    • Thule AB, the Sweden-based international manufacturer of transportation load carriers and accessories in a product recall process before the Israeli authorities
    • Exelixis Inc., on behalf of its insurer HDI Gerling AG, in securing and instructing the expert opinion of an Israeli physician regarding the causal linkage between damages allegedly caused to the claimant following participation in a clinical trial conducted by Exelixis
    • The Paper Converting Machine Company, on behalf of its insurer HDI Gerling, in two personal injury claims filed by two workers allegedly injured in the course of operating and repairing company machinery. The first claim was settled at a quarter of the original claim; the second was settled for a fraction of the alleged damages
    • The Lotter Enterprises Limited in managing and protecting its portfolio of trademarks and Internet domain names. To this end, a WIPO ruling was obtained that determined that the attempted registration and use of domain name "thelotter.cc" by SunSeven NV was made in bad faith
